TELOMERES & AGING

What are telomeres?

Telomeres are DNA-protein structures at the end of chromosomes that protect the ends of chromosomes and regulate cell division. Telomeres shorten each time a cell divides. Telomere length is a biological clock that measures cellular aging. At the cellular level, there are two key signs of the aging process - shortening of telomere length and cellular senescence.

STUDIES HAVE FOUND HYPERBARIC OXYGEN THERAPY (HBOT)
TO HAVE THE FOLLOWING BENEFITS FOR TELOMERES
:

Protection of Telomere Health

Studies show that HBOT slows down the telomere degradation process.

Elongation of Telomeres

Studies show that HBOT has the potential to increase telomere length by more than 20% in the aging population

Stimulates Angiogenesis

Angiogenesis is the development of new blood vessels, which promotes tissue repair and wound healing.

Decreased Risk of Infection

HBOT significantly increases the amount of oxygen delivered to tissues, enhancing the immune systems ability to fight infections.

Stem Cell Proliferation & Mobilization

Studies suggest that HBOT can stimulate the release of stem cells from the bone marrow, making them readily available to travel to damaged tissue.

Reduction in Overall Senescent Cells

Reducing senescent cells can help delay aging and age-related diseases.

PUBLISHED STUDIES

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is a safe, non-invasive therapy that has many pulished studies. Check out some of the studies about telomeres and aging.
