Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) can help you Thrive Again
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is a medically proven technology to deliver more oxygen molecules into your body with each breath that you take. This treatment enhances the body’s natural healing process by inhalation of up to 100% oxygen in a total body chamber, where atmospheric pressure is increased and controlled. The increase in pressure allows your body to absorb more oxygen which then infuses with your blood, plasma and cerebral fluids. This allows your body to heal itself by re-oxygenating damaged tissue and allows circulation to return to the area.
Process
The client will lie down or sit up, depending on the chamber used, in a pressurized chamber (Pressurizing can take as little as 5 minutes and as much as 25 minutes depending on the chamber and pressure.) and breathes medical grade oxygen through a mask. The use of medical grade oxygen or an oxygen concentrator will dramatically compound the effectiveness of the therapy. Within the chamber, the air pressure is carefully controlled and monitored to allow for greater absorption of oxygen.
The session will typically last for 90 minutes. This includes changing, getting up to pressure, being at pressure for 60 minutes and then depressurizing. It’s simple, non-invasive, and effective.
The true benefit of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is the ability of a compromised tissue to receive oxygen. Essentially, oxygen is given a boost to reach areas of the body where it’s needed most. It’s used to help the body heal itself.
Chambers:
We use 2 Oxyhealth hyperbaric chambers (the Fortius420 and the Vitaeris320) and 2 Oxyhelp Chambers (I90 and a Multiperson).
The Fortius420, is our largest and most versatile chamber capable of treating up to 3.0 ATA (29 psi) operating pressure. This chamber has a nice and considerably large 42” diameter interior. This allows you the option of sitting up rather than having to lay down.
The Vitaeris 320 is the largest portable hyperbaric chamber with enough room for two adults. The sizeable 32” diameter chamber has a roomy interior and gives patients complete freedom of movement while maintaining Oxyhealth’s strict and impeccable safety specifications.
The Oxyhelp I90 Chamber has a 36" Diameter, advanced technology and features a clear glass opening.
The Oxyhelp Multiperson is a large, walk-in design. It is wheelchair and walker accessible via a ramp. This chamber features 4 seats, 1 bed and 2 tv screens.
What does it feel like during a treatment?
As the chamber is pressurized, you will experience a sensation similar to when you are flying in an airplane. The majority of people (90%) automatically and easily adjust to these pressure changes, while reporting no adverse effects. If discomfort is experienced, we are able to adjust the rate of pressurization.
